At Wakefield Music, we take the health of every member of our community seriously. Over the last several years, we have learned how to effectively teach remotely and learn. We also know the importance of masks and distance to minimize communicable disease transmission. As a result, we are making the following mandatory policies for our safety and yours. This policy is reevaluated regularly.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Remote lessons will continue to remain an option and are required when the student is ill. Masks are required if someone in the student household is ill and recommended if you or someone in your household is at increased risk. Please contact Caroline to coordinate a remote lesson, including same day.
2. The studio is mask friendly. All students and any persons who accompany them are welcome to wear a mask and required to do so if a household member is ill. Caroline may also wear a mask as well. Masks are readily available in both adult and children’s sizes.
3. All students and every member of their household must be fully vaccinated for COVID, including completing the vaccination protocol for COVID with all recommended boosters.
4. Any student is required to have remote lessons if any of the following apply:
a. The student or anyone in the student’s household has tested positive for COVID during the previous 10 days.
b. The student or anyone in the student’s household has traveled to a country where COVID is prevalent as defined by US CDC or State Department Travel Advisory of Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 within the past 14 days.
c. The student has ANY of the following symptoms of illness:
1. New or worsened cough
2. New fever or chills
3. New or worsened shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
4. New sore throat
5. New or worsened muscle aches
6. New or worsened fatigue
7. New or worsened headache
8. New loss of smell or taste
9. Congestion or runny nose
10. Nausea or vomiting
11. Diarrhea
d. If anyone living in the studio residence is ill or showing signs of communicable illness.
5. PLEASE NOTE: All in-person attendance is at your own risk. Wakefield Music strongly recommends that anyone who is immunocompromised or lives in a household with an immunocompromised person should wear a mask or arrange remote lessons.
6. Willful violations of these policies can result in immediate withdrawal from Wakefield Music and forfeiture of all lessons and fees.
